Long time no...work?

Well, it seems that laziness is everywhere I look. I managed to pump out one piece of work for my graphic design course at school. But there is still more to do before this Thursday! I hope the homework fairy comes and grants some major wishes.

My seminar that I have to present in class tomorrow, hardly a reality...So instead instead of staying up late this morning doing my seminar or even design, what did I do? Oh that's right, I watched the Football. New Zealand drew 1-1 with Italy! What a feat, but enough about boring sports.

Oh! Guess what! I, am flying to the US next Wednesday :O That's right! I am flying from Auckland International to the O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. I will be there for 3 days before flying on the JFK in NEW YORK, NEW YORK! Very excited. Every time I think about it, that song by JayZ and Alicia Keyes comes to mind, and it's awsome. Hopefully I will have my Flip cam by the time I leave so I will be able to upload some stuff to youtube :)

Well that's all for now, I will try post more often. We'll see.
Back to work!

Late

Alarms, why do I have an alarm sitting next to my bed if I never use it. I was woken today at 9AM by a drippping wet cat, walking across my bed. Thank god for that cat.

So my first lesson is Media, the class that I need to be in for this term and next. I have never known myself to get ready so fast before. Within 4 minutes of getting up, I was out the door and off to school, minus breakfast of course, but I can deal with that later. Because I live miles away from school, it usually takes me 45 minutes - 1 hour to get to school, this morning it took half an hour. I have a feeling that I will arrive home this afternoon to several speeding tickets sitting in the mailbox.

So after I finally got to school and recieved a late note from the unforgiving check in lady, it was 9:38AM by the time I got to class. It turns out that my group had left to go scouting for locations to shoot our film. So after 10 minutes of walking around trying to find them, I decided to head back to class. The rest of my group didn't turn up until 10AM, when the bell went. They were not impressed.

But all is well and our group is on it's way to excellence.
Adieu for now, whoever you are.

Sunday, Bloody Sunday

So here I am again, except this time, I am posting from my shiny and new Adobe Contribute application.  But that has nothing really to do with the fact that I managed to get up before 10AM.  Are you proud of me?  Whoever you are?

But thanks to my planning from yesterday, I can start off on the right track with some breakfast!  I'm feeling like today is an egg day, but enough about food.  I have a bunch to do today, and it is such a magnificent day that I am not sure I will get it all done!  Let's hope that my plan works in partnership with my mild OCD...I have to finish everything I start, and be a perfectionist about it.  Maybe that will be my downfall.  I might post again tonight to let you (if there is anyone there) know how I went.

Saturday

Well, I think we can write Saturday off as a recovery day. After a week of school, I find myself unable to do much other than check my Facebook page and lie to myself saying "After I check my email, I'll do some homework." Well all I can say is that this must be one god damned long email and I'm a really good liar.

So I suppose it would be best if I made my plan for tomorrow now. Seeing as if I have a set plan laid out in front of me, I tend to follow it as close as that annoying guy that tail gates you all the way to work. But that's ok, once I get in to it, I should be fine.

Wish me luck!
André.

Where to begin...

How does one prevent oneself from failing. I can hear all of my educators yelling in the distance.."study" "do your work" "get off facebook". But I think it all comes down to one thing. Self control. A trait that seems to escape me everytime I sit at a computer. Even this blog is just another form of procrastination.

So here's my challege; I need to conceptualise, film, edit and release a film noir blockbuster. My main goal? To get it finished and entered into the "Oscotes Festival." Yes, I know what you're thinking...what the hell is an Oscote. Well, it's our school's way of pretending not to be poor for a night.

Here's to success, and all the rewards that follow.
